«Dementia Update – Clinical Series»
Swiss Memory Clinic und der Verein Swiss Network for Dementia Research (SNDR) sind letztes Jahr eine Kooperationsvereinbarung eingegangen – ganz im Sinne der seitens SMC statuarisch aufgeführten Förderung der Forschung im Demenzbereich. Mittlerweile ist es den Kooperationspartnern gelungen, gemeinsam eine Weiter- und Fortbildungsreihe im online-Format für interessierte Forschende und Klinikerinnen und Kliniker zu evaluieren – «building bridges» ist das Motto.
Wir haben viel positives Feedback erhalten für die Premiere vom 15.01.2026. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an alle Beteiligten, insbesondere den Kollegen Aurélien Lathuilère und Ansgar Felbecker, für diesen gelungenen Start in die Weiter- und Fortbildungsreihe.

The Dementia Update – Clinical Series is a new virtual format developed by the Swiss Memory Clinics in collaboration with the Swiss Network for Dementia Research. Building on the success of the existing Dementia Update – Virtual Series, this new webinar series is primarily tailored to clinicians and healthcare professionals working with patients affected by neurodegenerative diseases.
This interdisciplinary series brings together experts from diverse clinical fields—neurology, old-age psychiatry, geriatrics, neuropsychology and care—to share practical insights, new findings, guidelines and best practices. In each session, a healthcare professional will present a clinically relevant topic, followed by a Q&A session that fosters exchange among different professionals involved in dementia treatment and care.
At the same time, the format also actively welcomes researchers, fostering an open exchange between research and clinical practice. This allows researchers to gain insights into clinical challenges, helps them to understand the clinical perspective and may promote collaborations between the two disciplines.
